Beata K. Spuhler

Beata K. Spuhler is a Customs and Trade Lawyer with over 25 years of experience counseling clients on various aspects of trade compliance.  Beata is currently Counsel on the Customs and International Trade Team in Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath’s Minneapolis office. Prior to rejoining the firm, Beata worked for a multinational conglomerate based in the Twin Cities, where she spearheaded global trade compliance for subsidiaries operating in more than 70 countries and served as inhouse global trade counsel.  Beata counsels clients on all aspects of compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements.  Beata conducts internal risk assessments, prepares voluntary disclosures, develops tailored compliance programs and training initiatives for clients, while advising clients daily on tariff mitigation and compliance strategies.  Beata is admitted to practice in Minnesota, Illinois and the Court of International Trade.   Beata is also passionate about pro bono representation of clients needing assistant with immigration matters, partnering with the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.
